Mierins has never dated his drawings and they are difficult to date stylistically. Most of his drawings were done in charcoal pencil working directly from a female model on an A1 sheet of white paper. The majority of his drawings date from the mid-1960s to mid-1990s. However, more recently, he has been drawing the female figure without reference to a model, using his memory of past figure poses and imagination.
